Memorial Day Weekend

Hope you had a wonderful Indy 500 and Memorial Day weekend!  Matt is a huge 500 fan, so this is one of his favorite weekends of the year.  While he went to his 10th straight race, Caleb, Rickey and I stayed all night with my parents.  Matt and I noticed Friday evening that we could see Caleb's two bottom front teeth in his gums!  Guess that's the reason behind all of the drooling and sucking on your fingers!

3 Months Old!

I went back to work for 3 days this week.  It was hard to leave Caleb, but I knew he was in good hands.  He spent Tuesday with Dad, Wednesday with Grandma Stacy and Grandma Susie, and Thursday with Grandma Sally.  It's hard to believe Caleb is 3 months old!  Becky came last Friday and took his 3 month pictures.  I'll post those as soon as I get them.

Trying out the bumbo seat for the first time.  Still a little shakey.

My toys are now going straight to my mouth!

Hi Everyone!

Uncle Craig

As I said in an earlier post, Craig has been staying with us during the month of May.  It has been so nice having an extra pair of hands around the house.  I know Caleb has really enjoyed spending time with his Uncle Craig.  He are going to miss him so much when he has to go back to Chicago!

Posing on Grandpa's four wheeler.  No way was I going to let Uncle Craig really take you for a ride.  He's a crazy driver!

Another New Friend

We have been walking with Kristina, a friend that I teach with, and her son Grant.  Grant is 3 weeks younger than Caleb.  Caleb loves spending time with his friends, Grant and Margo.

A little shy at first.  Caleb's a little rounder than Grant.

 Two Handsome Dudes

Caleb has started holding onto his toys.

Notice the drool.  He has really started drooling in the last week or so.  Teeth coming soon?!?!?

We were outside helping Matt water the lawn and he fell asleep in his carrier.  Rather than wake him up taking him out, I let him sleep.  Could that really be comfortable?

Random Pics from the Week

Here's a week in the life of Caleb Andrew!

Daddy makes a good pillow.

Going for your morning swing.  You swing every morning while I eat breakfast.

This week you discovered your hand and have started sucking on it.  It's funny to hear this little "slurp, slurp!"

You have also started laughing this week.  You are just like mommy, when you laugh, your eyes close!

Tummy Time!

Daddy thought you needed a recliner.  I'm thinking it was actually for daddy :)

My first Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to everyone!  Matt made my first Mother's Day very special.  My card from Caleb said " I love you Mommy, you snuggle so good!"  Caleb and Matt bought me a pair of diamond earrings!  I have been wanting a pair for a long time.  Uncle Craig is staying with us for the month of May while he does an internship at St. Vincent, so Mom and Dad came up to cook out with us.

Sitting with Mamaw and Uncle Craig

 Mamaw, don't pinch me!

Caleb Andrew, you are a mother's dream.  I am so proud to be your mother.  You have made me realize just how precious life is.  I have been blessed to be home with you for the first 12 weeks of your life.  There are days that I just sit and stare at you in amazement.  You are the best thing that ever happened to me and your dad.  We love you to pieces!

Mini Marathon

Matt ran the mini-marathon this morning with Chris, Jason, and Lori.   For the past two years, Jim and Sally have had a party that afternoon to celebrate this wonderful accomplishment. Running 13.1 miles, no thank you!  Maybe Caleb will take after Matt and enjoy running.  Here are some pics from the day.

Miss Emmiline and her big hair bow.

Maggie all smiles from running around with the p-town kids.

The P-town kiddos......minus 1.You can barely see Caleb's head peeking out from the blanket.

 And then there were 13.
1 Carter, 1 Custer, 1 Cochran, 3 Shoups, 4 Warfels, 1 Stauffer, and 2 Trouts!

Worn out from being passed around all day and partying!
